Why did you choose to study abroad?

I chose Masaryk in order to complete my Russian and East European Studies minor, and to see a part of the world I hadn't seen before.

What has study abroad done for you?

I've been able to do a lot of independent travel during my time abroad, and to meet people from all over the world. Spending the semester in Europe also served as a springboard to help me do an internship over here this summer. It's been a great experience.

Who would you recommend study abroad to?

Everyone, especially students who think they can't do it (because of money, graduation requirements, doubt that you can be away from home for that long) -- it's one of the best investments you can make in college, and will open parts of the world and of yourself that you never knew were there.
